Roger Iker and "Art Accumulator" Morris Matson with "Hill Country Visions"

"Roger Iker appeared on my radar screen in early 2006 at the Adobe Western Art Gallery in the Fort
Worth Stockyards. I knew immediately that here was one of those "Classical Texans" that I wanted to include in my circle of friends. I watched him paint for the gallery and other people over the next
year or so, keeping an eye out for that one special piece that would speak to me. This beautiful
"Hill Country Vision" painting was destined for our home from the first day
I saw it in his studio sitting on his easel.  It wasn't finished, but I
knew that it was for us.  As a serious accumulator of early Texas paintings
by dead artists we broke our policy and practice and purchased this
contemporary painting by a very much alive artist because we were and are
moved by its spirit as well as its artistic merit.  It hangs in a prominent
spot in our home so that we can see it and enjoy it every day.  We proudly
share it with all visitors.

Thanks, Roger.  Morris Matson"
